How to move your TV Time history to Hobi

TV Time shut down on July 15, 2026, and its account data is gone. The good news: if you saved your export before then, that file is all you need. Hobi is the official migration partner for TV Time users, and moving in is straightforward. The import is free, there are no ads on any plan, and your watching data is never sold.

Do step one today. The export portal is overloaded this close to shutdown and can take a while. Once you have your file, you are safe. You can set up your new app whenever you like, even after July 15.

Step by step

  1. Find your TV Time export. Your watch history and ratings both live inside that file, and it does not expire. Check your downloads folder or the email TV Time sent you.
  2. Get Hobi free on iOS or Android.
  3. Import your TV Time export. In Hobi, open Settings and tap Import from TV Time, then upload the official export file (the GDPR ZIP) as is. Hobi automatically matches your shows and movies and transfers your viewing history, watchlist and ratings in one go. Start at hobiapp.com/tv-time. Already on Trakt? Connect Trakt in Hobi and pull it in that way.
  4. Keep your export file. It is your backup, and it keeps working forever, even after the shutdown. Your ratings are inside it, so your scores are never lost. See does Hobi keep your ratings.

Which route is right for you

Coming straight from TV Time? Use the direct import, it is built for exactly this and keeps your ratings. Already living in Trakt? Hobi and Trakt sync both ways, so your library stays in step. See import your Trakt library. Just want your current shows? Adding them by search takes a couple of minutes.
