Does Hobi keep your TV Time ratings?

Short answer: yes, and it is one of the main reasons people pick Hobi when they leave TV Time. Here is what happens to your ratings when you move, and how to keep yours.

When people leave TV Time they think first about their watch history and watchlist. The thing that catches them out a week later is the ratings, all the scores and reactions they gave over years of watching. You cannot rebuild those by hand, so it is worth knowing where they go before you move.

Why the common route drops your ratings

The most recommended way out of TV Time is Trakt. It is a fine route for watch history, with one catch that is easy to miss: Trakt's TV Time importer does not carry your ratings across. Your history arrives, the scores do not.

The reason is simple. In your TV Time export, your ratings sit in their own separate files, not in the main history file. Importers that only read the history file never see them. Your ratings are not gone, most tools just leave them in the box.

How Hobi handles ratings

Hobi treats a rating as a first class part of a show's history, the same way TV Time did, so there is a real home for the scores and reactions you built up.

The one thing to do today: export your TV Time data and keep the file. Your ratings live inside it. As long as you have that export saved, your ratings are safe no matter which app you choose. The export guide walks you through it, and the portal is slammed this close to shutdown, so request it now.

The two questions to ask before you switch

Whatever app you are weighing, ask two things: does it track ratings at all, and does its import keep them? If either answer is no, your scores are the part you will miss. Ready to move? Start with move your TV Time history to Hobi.
