Hobi notifications not arriving? Here is how to fix it
If your episode reminders are not showing up, it is almost always one of two things: system permission, or battery settings. Here is how to fix both.
Start inside Hobi
Open Settings in Hobi. If you see a red Notifications are off row, tap it and allow notifications. Then confirm your reminders are switched on.
Then check your phone
- Open the Settings app, then Notifications.
- Find Hobi and make sure Allow Notifications is on.
- Check that a Focus or Do Not Disturb mode is not silencing it.
- Open Settings, then Apps, then Hobi.
- Under Notifications, make sure they are allowed.
- Under Battery, set Hobi to Unrestricted or exclude it from battery optimization. This is the most common Android cause.
Android is stricter about background apps than iOS, so the battery step matters most there. Once Hobi can run in the background, reminders arrive on time.
